MEASUREMENT METHOD

Strains are used to measure strains which are triggered by forces and weights in load bearing structures. The strains are tiny deformations in the load bearing structures which are proportional to the applied force or weight. In order to measure the strains, the strain sensors are mounted on the structure where the deformations occur.

SIGNAL CONDITIONING

The strain transducers are connected directly to the IIoT gateway or via an active connection box. The measurement signals can be sent as 0-10 V, 4-20 mA or as a TTL frequency signal to the IIot gateway.

CLOUD-GATEWAY

The final instance is the cloud gateway, which transfers the data to the cloud. The configuration is carried out by the means of an easy-to-use configuration software. Also the parameterization for an IoT cloud service is performed by this onboard software. In addition, a first data processing in the gateway can be done. This be programmed via the onboard configuration software and a graphical sequence program.

DATA TRANSMISSION

Various connections are available for data transmission, such as a 3G sim card, WiFi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and 2 Fast Ethernet interfaces. For transmission, the MQTT protocol is used. The cloud service can receive the measurement data as an MQTT subscriber.
